Geography – Statement of Intent

At Holymead Primary, we believe that Geography should inspire pupils to be fascinated about the world around them. The geography curriculum at Holymead enables children to develop their knowledge and gives them transferable skills that promote their moral, social and cultural development. As pupils progress, their growing understanding of the world should help them to deepen their awareness of the interaction between physical and human geography. By acting locally but thinking globally, we aim to promote curiosity that promotes a lifetime of learning.
